Create & Explore Grade 3-8
“Create and Explore” Grades 3 – 8
This program uses an interdisciplinary approach – a combination of social studies and language arts which interprets Long Island’s past while remaining firmly in the 21st century.
Each student meets a published poet and is encouraged to explore the creative process by actually producing poetry.
This is an interactive program with artifacts used in the 19th century. The house tour, interpretive exhibits and innovative poetry writing workshops offer students an opportunity to develop critical thinking, to witness the life and times of an historical period to have fun and express their creativity.
Estimated time: 2.5 hours
Monday – Friday………………………… Minimum $150.
$6.75 / student………………………… (Sept., Dec., Jan., Feb., June)
$7.75 / student………………………… (Oct., Nov., Mar., Apr., May)
