Yuletide Traditions
Grades Pre K – 4
Available Throughout the Holiday Season for School Groups
Students tour the home in which Walt Whitman was born and learn what life was like in 1819. Contrasting holiday traditions in their world today to the traditions of holidays past, the children learn about the then and now. They will play interactive period games, handle 19th century clothes, decorate a holiday ornament to hang on the tree in the parlor and, like children long ago, gather around the tree to listen to a holiday story.
Monday – Friday
Estimated time: 2 hours
$6.75/child
Minimum fee $125
