2019 marks the 200th Bicentennial year of Walt Whitman’s birth. Visitors can watch a presentation Haydn Reiss’ Film Walt Whitman: Citizen Poet, a short film featuring U.S. Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith, poets Martin Espada and Robert Hass. Also available for viewing is Ken Burns’ Oscar-nominated documentary “Brooklyn Bridge,” a landmark which inspired Walt Whitman’s poem “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry” and

Kids are welcome to play with Whitman-era games and toys, and listen to historical tunes
