Whitman Greetings!

We are embarking on our 2020 “Giving” Campaign derived from Whitman’s quote: “When I give, I give myself.” I am asking you to take a moment and consider what you can give to help us sustain the important work we do for literacy, education, history, the performing arts, writers, scholars and researchers. The momentum we established from celebrating Whitman’s Bicentennial Birthday last year, 2019, has been challenged by this year’s pandemic which has severely impacted our onsite operations. We are able to offer in-person tours. However, we have pivoted to a new strategy to keep our program momentum strong.

With your support, we aim to make our online programs the literacy lifeline for poets and writers within our local community and for national and international figures and “visitors.” Let us keep Walt Whitman and literacy alive!

Our Giving Campaign categories reflect Whitman’s poetry to remind us of his literary legacy. Your contribution of any amount is greatly appreciated. All donations are tax exempt.

If you prefer, send a check addressed to WWBA. Please indicate your Trustee contact on the memo line and mail to:
