This three-part cumulative series focuses on presentation skills like conducting attention and listener absorption through pacing, phrasing, and spatial awareness. Discovery of authentic personal style, sensitivity to listener expectations, honoring the integrity of the poem, and the ability to make moment-to-moment adjustments, all take time and practice. Experiment with dozens of techniques, exercises, and useful guidelines.

Communication Coach, Writer, and Storyteller, Karen De Mauro, shares 40 years of experience in creating, directing, and performing in venues from international businesses to national parks, from Broadway stages to book stores, and from schools to stadiums. Ms. De Mauro is Artistic Director of The Acting Center and Naturestages, and Co-Founder of The Center for Nature Writing at Seatuck. She directed for The United Nations, performed at The Smithsonian, Central Park HCA Festival, and The Kongo Noh Festival in Kyoto, and works as an international Artist in Residence.
