Free Whitman-Era Silhouette Craft

In honor of Walt Whitman’s birthday, during WWBA’s annual Birthday Weekend Celebration, join us on Sat. June 2 at 11 am – 3 pm for a fun historical craft that emulates the silhouettes taken in Whitman’s time, aka a “Whitman selfie!”

These portraits make fantastic Father’s Day gifts as well.

WWBA’s wall of 130 Whitman portraits (pictured below) is a testament to how much Whitman enjoyed having his portrait taken, much like the people of today.

This craft is free & open to the public of all ages.

Accessible to those with physical disabilities.
